Our Rescue Boat Operations (PSO) course trains first responders and individuals for boat-based technical rescue incidents. This course meets and exceeds NFPA 1006 (2021), NFPA 2500 (2022), and FEMA Boat Operator & Swiftwater/Flood SAR Boat Technician Standards.
This course has been curated by our team of experts and includes classroom and practical hands-on training in boat selection, boat handling, rescue craft/boat rigging, emergency boat procedures, swiftwater tactics, boat rescue techniques, a “night ops” experience, and more.
COURSE SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
- 24 hours (3 days) total. Day 2 is split to allow for night ops experience.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Boat (hard-shell or inflatable, 20HP motor or higher, fuel for 3 days)
- Paddles
- Throwbags
- Wetsuit or Drysuit
- Water boots/shoes
- Gloves
- Water helmet
- Type “V” PFD
- Flashlight
- Chem sticks
- We also recommend a second set of clothes, towel, sunscreen, plenty of water, snacks and lunch (depending on water site location).
