Due to high demand, our Command and Control course has been created to train first responders how to navigate leading a team through water rescue emergencies from start to finish. Swiftwater/Flood rescues are becoming more common throughout the entire world. Command and control of these emergencies is very different from fire ground emergencies. The strategy in water rescue involves being open-minded and fluid in a rapidly changing environment. Circumstances and environmental changes can shift at a moment’s notice, and your rescue could quickly move out of your control without proper training. This course will give you the knowledge and experience to command and control a water rescue emergency.
This course includes expert tips on: pre-planning (alert has been issued), scene size-up, NIMS, resource inventory, mutual aid, tactical strategies, equipment, coordinating multiple rescues, risk vs. recovery, case studies, and more!
